Fill a spray bottle with water and a little bit of vinegar or mint essential oil. Works great for persistent whiners, barkers, counter surfers and naughty pups.

Completely harmless, but a very effective deterrent when needed.

Whether from not being able to hold it, or competitive male marking behavior, eventually you'll need to clean up pee.

Nature's Miracle is by far the best out there. Soak up what you can with an old towel, then spray the affected area with Nature's miracle and let it sit for a few minutes.

This product is great at removing stains and the enzymes attack the chemicals that cause the pee smell, preventing repeat markings by other male dogs.

Cleaning up poop is part of the job. These gloves make the task much easier.

We use these gloves to pick up the waste, and then we put it into doubled-up plastic grocery store bags. Those are tied tight and placed in an outside garbage bin.

All dogs poop, and you're going to have to clean it up. However, you REALLY don't want it in the trash can inside your home, trust us on this one.

This Suncast 33 gallon outdoor trash can is made to last! There are cheaper ones out there, but they don't survive even one harsh Colorado winter season.

Dog owners don't appreciate their normally quiet dog coming back from dog camp with a new learned habit of barking at nothing all the time. (Neither will your neighbors.)

We use an older version of this refillable air horn to "bark" back at the persistent "I'm barking at nothing" pup in the group. It breaks their focus and they stop immediately!

This salmon oil is a great additive to get the dogs' appetite going. Huskies and Labradoodles are notorious picky eaters, but both breeds love salmon oil.

Just make sure to check with the owner first, in case the pup has a sensitive stomach or allergy.

A couple of squirts on top of their food should get whet their appetite!

This baby/dog gate is great for keeping the dogs where you want them, or for separating dogs at meal time.

They are very strong and pressure fit, which means no drilling holes in your walls.

You'll be getting a lot of visitors, so make sure your entry way is ice free without hurting any furry paws. This ice melt is pet friendly!

Normal ice melt contains chemicals that are not safe for pets and can be very painful on their little paws.

If you have slippery stairs, you'll want to add some grip tape to help out the pups. This is also helpful for the older dogs with bad hips, which is fairly common.

Did you know some dogs drink so fast that they will walk two feet from the water bowl and then throw up? Neither did we!

This slobber and splash-free water bowl prevents the dog from getting too much water in their mouth at once. They are forced to slow down, which also means no water trail from slobbery large dogs as they walk away.

We've tried several outdoor water bowls, but this one has lasted the longest. Some were too big and the dogs used them as a swimming pool, others were too cheaply made and the dogs would destroy them.

This bowl is tough and stays in place while still providing a lot of water for multiple dogs.

These blankets are great for the couch, floor or even your bed. They are easy to wash and inexpensive.

Dogs quickly understand they are allowed on the blanket areas only. A must-have for any dog sitter!

Don't already have a doggie door? This insert is easy to install with your existing sliding-glass door and the dogs love it!

We use this during the winter months and then remove it in favor of the magnetic screen (below) for the summer months.

There are better made magnetic screens out there, but this one does the job just fine. If you watch a lot of dogs, this screen will need to be replaced at least once per year anyway due to wear and tear.

All the dogs we've watched have figured out to use this magnetic screen very quickly. It's easy to install, shuts tight and keeps the pesky flies out of your house.

Make sure to measure your doorway before you order!

This is basically a can of highly compressed air. Tap the nozzle a couple of times and it lets out a loud hissing sound that gets the attention of almost any dog.

We use this to quickly stop a barking dog that is playing "annoy the neighbor dog" through the fence, as well as getting the attention of rowdy dogs playing inside.

It's surprising how many dogs have allergies. Some are even allergic to people dander. (No joke!) From rashes to hotspots, eventually you'll want something completely safe to use on a pup to give them some relief.

This antiseptic spray is fantastic and works quickly. It's completely safe for pets, and owners often ask us for the link so they can buy one for themselves.

This microfiber mat & towel set is a must-have for any pet owner. They are super-absorbent to handle wet paws, and they trap an impressive amount of dirt and hair.

We use these in our main dog area to keep the tile from becoming a wet muddy mess. Cleaning is very easy as well - just shake them outside and then toss them in the wash.

These pan and tilt cameras from Wyze will help you keep an eye on the furry guests while you're away from the house. We've tried several brands, and these are the best, hands down!

You can watch them from anywhere you have an internet connection, point the camera, and even talk to the dogs from the included free App.

This Retract-a-gate is high quality and does a great job of keeping the dogs away from restricted areas. We have an older version of this gate from a couple of years ago, and it still works today without issues.

It certainly won't stop them from jumping up and collapsing the fabric mesh, so only use it for temporarily blocking an area when you'll be there to supervise.

Be prepared for dog hair being everywhere, that's just part of the job. It's a good thing we love these shedding furry butts!

We've tried many different lint & sticky rollers, but this one is by far the best. The self-cleaning feature is a must have! Just slide it into the included cleaner/case, then pull it out and it's almost completely free of dog hair! Neat!

We had to replace our old Dyson after sitting our first pair of Huskies. (No joke, that Dyson was junk!)

We tried a couple of other brands before settling on this Shark Navigator vacuum. It is leaps and bounds better than any other brand we've tried. Now we have 4 different Shark vacuums in the house, including a stick vacuum.
